For roughly 50 years now, muffs have dominated the market of distortion pedals (yes, it's a distortion, not a fuzz. fight me!) and countless variants have been made, either ehx or other brands. Why? Mainly because it's a solid circuit design, dependable and because it sounds really good. But there's room for improvements in various domains.
So, here's the prototype of AIB's heaviest version of it.
Here are the main features:
-much more saturation and sustain
-circuit rebiased, modded and selected parts for a better texture
-scooped or flat mids response (right external switch)
-low/high mid shift (left external switch)
-easy sweet spot tone range
