THE BATTLE BOY. (PRE ORDER ONLY)
The Battle Boy is the latest and biggest concept from the workshop:
A dual muff typed shelved fuzz/distortion with loop and dedicated 5 band EQ.
(Every effect is independent and can be operated separately)
You can basially set different distortion levels for both shelves independently and blend them however you want, making the pedal universal for bass or guitar.
-The low shelf (under 450hz) has a lower compression structure and rate for a respectable amount of bass response and dynamics. Labeled LOG (for LO shelf gain)
-The high shelf (above 450hz) has the most compression rate for a balanced psycho acoustic response (human hearing response). Labeled HIG (for HI shelf gain)
-Both gain can be overloaded: The actual max gain level is at 80% rotation meaning that weak humbuckers or single
-Mix allows you to blend both low and high shelves to control the overall dynamics of the fuzz, making it tighter or looser, transparent or fully saturated. Has an impact on the overall tone.
-Tone adjusts the overall tone of the fuzz. It's a classic BMP style tonestack but with a flat curve to keep as much "under the curve" response as possible. RC is set at 800hz.
-Volume is self explanatory.
the fuzz distortion effect is placed first in the fx chain.
The 5 band EQ is a transparent equalization providing 5 crucial bands with the most effect on the fuzz tones and follows a 4:2:2:4 pattern, meaning that each frequency is either the quadruple or double from the previous one. labelling is simplified accounting for components tolerances.
targeted frequencies are: 100hz. 400hz. 800hz. 1.6khz. 3.2khz
the EQ effect is placed last in the fx chain.
The Loop is a passive, true bypass loop with top mounted send/return jacks.
The loop is placed between the fuzz and EQ in the fx chain.
Like all AIB Custom Fx circuits, the board is soldered point to point
and the circuit is ©

UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTICED, BATTLE BOY PEDALS ARE PRE ORDER ONLY
BUILDING AND DELIVERY TIME:
orders are fulfilled chronologically following the date of order.
The pedal takes time to make as everything is done by hand.
depending on parts availability, order number, special requests (if any) etc, the builds can take up to 3-4 weeks.
